a. Account Identifier (Device-Based)
When you use the app, we generate a device-based session identifier that is stored on your device and used to associate your letters and activity with your account on our servers.
This identifier allows you to access your account and content. If your device data is cleared or your device is lost, access to your account may be permanently lost unless you have added an email address for recovery.
b. Email Address (Optional)
You may optionally choose to add an email address to your account. If provided and verified, we use your email address to help recover access to your account and to send important account-related communications such as login codes or policy updates.
c. User-Generated Content
When you save letters in the App, these letters can be:
- Private: Visible only to you within the App.
- Shared with the Community: Visible to other users that are using the App.
d. IP Address
We collect your IP address for analytics, security, and performance purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
a. Community Letters
We may use anonymized excerpts from community letters for marketing purposes outside the App. When doing so, we will always remove any information that could identify you, such as your username.
b. Email Communication
If you provide an email address, we may use it to send you account-related notifications, login codes, and important updates about the App, including changes to our terms and policies.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We will never share, sell, or rent your personal data or letters to third parties.
4. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated letters at any time by accessing the "Settings" section in the App. Once deleted, your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

The App uses cookies and similar device storage technologies to maintain your session and associate your activity with your account. These technologies are essential to the operation of the App.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and user-generated content for as long as your account remains active in order to provide the App’s features. When you delete your account, your letters and associated account data are permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable period of time, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
